Actually, if there were only one way of doing something or constructing
something, would there be a need for standardizing it?

(Example: Another IEEE MSC project, other than P-1788, that is presently
active is standardizing laptop power supplies.  Clearly, there are
presently in existence more than one shape of plug and more than
one set of voltages that such a plug supplies.  However, a need is
perceived for a standard plug size and standard set of voltages.)

There is no single correct way of computing with midrad intervals.
Several things depend on which judgment is made, already in exact
