Dear Ned,
in principle I do not like any non-mathematical
arguments, but now you challenge me to say
the following :
1) any "ordinary" person can grasp the relations easily
from the provided picture;
2) these relations will be certainly liked by the "temporal interval
algebra community" and it will be good if this community
uses the standard as well.
