Re: Access to the stds-1788 mailing list

Thanks to both of you. I had indeed found the missing post in the email
archive (and verified that it was the only missing post, for some reason).

Btw, the file Ru11c.pdf is subtly different from the file pdfhiuV7nsdvU.pdf
that I downloaded from grouper.ieee.org, although a blink test suggests
that the content is the same, except possibly for a minute difference in
the font used (or rendered, you never know).

On the substance, this is excellent work, and prods me to revisit some of
my earlier attempts to distinguish between exact and inexact zeros and
infinities (see posts of 2008 Oct29 &ff, 2010 Apr22, Apr28 and Sep20 &ff).
The crucial idea is indeed to define a set of atomic intervals (possibly
singletons). I'll report if and when I come up with something interesting.

I guess these days everybody uses the web, and my anachronistic attempt to
communicate with the listserver was doomed to fail. Too bad; I remember
well the early days when the system was developed for VM/CMS by some of my
colleagues (roughly 30 years ago). The interface still shows its heritage.

Michel.
