FINAL REMINDER: Motion P1788/M0036.03:Flavors ends Sunday

P1788,

FINAL REMINDER: Voting on Motion 36.03 Flavors will continue through Sunday, September 9.

Current tally: Yes: 22; No: 19. Very close. Required for quorum: 25. I have double-checked the tally against my saved email messages, so I believe my count is correct.

In some ways, this may be THE defining motion of our standardization effort. EVERYONE should vote.

Recall that our Policies and Procedures allows you to vote multiple times; the most recent vote you cast is the one that counts, so changing ones mind (multiple times, even) is permitted.

Also recall that our Policies and Procedures specify that if you miss two consecutive votes, you are no longer a Voting Members (although reinstatement is easy). That is so that motions do not fail for lack of quorum.

PLEASE VOTE if you are a Voting Member and have not already done so.

As has been my practice, "will continue through Sunday, September 9" is interpreted to end when Sept. 9 rolls off the face of the earth under the International Date Line. Since I am at GMT+6, I interpret that as 6:00 AM MY time on Sept. 10. That means our European friends may vote when they get to work on Monday morning. Not so in the US and Canada.

George Corliss,
Voting Tabulator
