Motion P1788/M0038.01:KaucherArithmetic -- discussion period extended
P-1788:
In view of point 4 of Motion 36 ("flavors", passed on
September 10), specification of positions and actual
standards wording for modal and Kaucher arithmetic
is to be delegated to a modal arithmetic subgroup, and
P-1788 as a whole will vote on the final wording this
group has produced, after it has passed through a quick, limited
editorial review for style and consistency with the entire
interval arithmetic document. Nate Hayes
has agreed to form and chair this subgroup, and has already
produced a preliminary draft (outline) of a document.
Please extend your cooperation to him as he solicits
participation in the subgroup.
In the mean time, discussion on Motion 38, whose processing has already
started within P-1788 as a whole, could be of use to the
modal subgroup. Thus, unless there are objections, I suggest
that discussion on Motion 38 continue until the modal subgroup
delivers their final document.
