That's a good point. However, here's a minor glitch:
"[" and "]" are already in use in the
current Fortran standard as delimiters. In particular, the delimiters
for array constructors are listed as being either "(/" and "/)" or
"[" and "]". This is defined intrinsically in the language.
(I can't give a quote since I am not in possession of
the current official standards document.) How might we get
around that?
Also, I'm not sure how many current interval experts (other than me)
are using Fortran.
