Dear 1788 members, I vote NO for the reasons mentioned by Ian McIntosh as well as the one mentioned by Michel Hack that CA may be energy efficient "when used" but it will be an unwise investment for most applications. Please note that the standard currently recommends CA. If a chip is designed for a special purpose where CA is beneficial, we are already giving the designers a pointer to a good implementation. For most chips that deal with regular applications we are not burdening them with a costly requirement. Best regards -- Hossam A. H.
