I vote YES on motion 49 (Function accuracy).
I vote NO on motion 50 (EDP).
I think that Correctly-Rounded Dot Product (CRDP) is what should be
discussed not the EDP. The CRDP gives the result of the EDP rounded to
the number format used within the application. If the user has a format
large enough to hold the EDP then the CRDP, by definition, will yield
the EDP. When such a format is not present then the CRDP result is what
is meaningful to provide.
The implementation of CRDP (via CA, via multiple precision, via rational
arithmetic, ...) is beyond the scope of 1788 in my opinion.
