I'm against, i.e. work on the standard should not stop. On the
contrary, work must still be done to improve the current status,
in particular if the goal is to have implementations.
However I'm rather worried that there are no reference implementations
yet, and when one becomes ready, there will not be much time to test
it. So, this increases the risk to have a bad standard.
Now, IMHO the main problem comes from the IEEE-SA standardization
steps; they are OK for a revision or when there already exist
several implementations, but not here (in particular, I'm thinking
of notions like decorations, flavors and NaI, which are not part
of existing implementations).
