Best regards, Baker P-1788: The technical editors (John Pryce, Christian Keil, Дмитрий Надежин, Jürgen Wolff von Gudenberg) have put the finishing touches on our standards document, in accordance with the positions we have voted and our numerous discussions. The editors have moved (and seconded) the motion that: The attached document be accepted as our standard. Voting on this motion will continue until after Monday, June 23, 2014. Voting will be counted according to the rules for standards text. The document will not change during the voting. Remember that, if you vote "no", you must give the changes that, if made, would cause you to vote "yes." When making comments and corrections, please indicate whether they are editorial (such as correcting spelling or minor rewording), or substantive. Editorial corrections, unless judged to be controversial, will be considered as friendly amendments, and will not precipitate a re-vote. Please read the document carefully. After a successful vote, we will deliver the document to the Microprocessor Standardization Committee, where an additional Sponsor Ballot vote will take place. After a successful Sponsor Ballot, the IEEE Standards Association will review the process for fairness and correctness. Once the review is successfully completed, the document becomes a standard. If you are interested in voting on the Sponsor Ballot, now might be a good time to join the IEEE Standards Association, and express your interest in being a member of the Sponsor Ballot Group (through checking the appropriate box in the list of projects under MyProject). PLEASE NOTE: The attached draft is not public, and must not be delivered beyond the working group. This is in accordance with IEEE Standards Association rules.
