[P1788]: Next steps

Working group P-1788 members, Ned:

John is presently working with the IEEE-SA publication office
to put the standard into the final format for publication.
The expected date it will appear is July 11. The only
other hurdle is the Review Committee approval (after review
that we followed the proper procedures), expected to be
obtained at the committee's July 5 meeting.

The IEEE-SA publication office asked me when I
estimate P1788.1 will enter the final publication phase.
I said I wasn't sure yet. However, it is now a very good
time to start working on it.

Presumably Ned and John will be the primary ones formulating
motions to decide any issues (such as what should be included),
and to agree upon the wording of parts (and eventually all) of
the document). We should give John several days while he
completes dotting the i's and crossing the t's in collaboration
with the publication office. However, Ned can be checking the
1788.1 draft against the IEEE 1788 document, for reference.
The clause numbers and page numbers should not change between
now and the final published standard. Ned can also be thinking
about how he wants to present decisions to the working group.

Best regards,

Baker
