Objective

Support the IEEE 802 and IEEE 802.11 liaisons with JTC1/SC6

The JTC1/SC6 Ad Hoc has come out of hibernation to deal with a request from China’s delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6/WG1 to try to find a way to have WAPI ratified as an international standard.

Accomplishments:

July 2006

802.11i has been ratified as an international standard in ISO. The JTC1/SC6 Ad Hoc group has completed its work and is no longer active.

The JTC1/SC6 Ad Hoc has been converted to a Standing Committee, which is currently in hibernation.
