Real Time Applicate (RTA) TIG is an initiative within the IEEE 802.11 working group that will consider real time application requirements within an 802.11-based network. The initiative started as a Topic Interest Group (TIG) in the July 2018 meeting.
The goal of the Real Time Application Topic Interest Group (RTA TIG) is to investigate latency and stability issues observed with real time applications such as mobile and multiplayer games, robotics and industrial automation and provide potential mechanisms to address the identified issues.
The Real Time Applications (RTA) group met as a topic interest group (TIG) in Vancouver, Canada from March 11-15, 2019.
The RTA TIG met two times during this week.
The group reviewed two submissions.
The RTA TIG has completed its work and published the final report to the 802.11 Working Group. Many thanks to all who participated and contributed to this group.
