Re: [STDS-802-11-EDITORS] Comment tool update

Hello Mark,

I suspect it is because you have not selected "Edit" mode. The "edit" button at the top of the details panel should be highlighted. Otherwise, the tool is in read-only mode (to prevent inadvertent changes).

Subject: RE: [STDS-802-11-EDITORS] Comment tool update

Hi, Robert,

As of today (the first day I’ve tried the new version of the tool), I cannot seem to update any REVmf MAC comments (for example, set the comment to be Accepted/Revised/Rejected, or enter resolution details, or Ad-hoc Notes).

I have set the Role to “MAC Officer”.  (I can’t do any updates as REVmf officer, either, if that should be allowed.)  I’ve tried logging out and back in – no change in behavior.

Thoughts?

Mark

Dear Robert,

Thanks a lot!   Similar to my time in TGbe, I will let you know if I have any comments or suggestions.

Dear Po-Kai, Ross,

Given your Task Groups are now on WG ballots, please do see if you have any suggestions or comments for us to continue improving the online comment database.

Regards,

Edward

Hello All,

I have deployed an updated comment resolution tool to the production server:

https://802tools.org/comments/802.11

(check the version using the account dropdown (top right). It is now "@802tools/comments: 1.8.1")

There are a number of changes.

Superficially, you will notice UI updates. I'm using a new library and have tried to make the UI a little more intuitive.

TGmf requested a number of features:

In the ad-hoc notes, there are options for "More work required" and "Submission required". These options are reflected in the comment status when selected.

The comment history is moved to the detail panel (instead of a pop -up modal). This fixes some issues with information going off screen.

The URL has the selected CIDs. As a result, you can send somebody a link to a specific comment (or group of comments).

There is a "Role" dropdown. If you have multiple roles (e.g., TG editor, ad-hoc chair, member) you can select the role you want to operate under. This might limit the damage you can do :-o.

Let me know if you see any bugs.

(or report them here: https://github.com/rjstacey/Dot11CommentDB/issues)
