Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBA] comment on doc. 11-20-1596r0

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the feedback. The reference for 11.22.12 is about “support traffic filtering service (TFS) as specified”. You may support but do not establish any traffic filtering agreement. I think that to avoid the confusion the following “established …” description will be useful.

I assume that this should address your comment, so I will go with this revision.

Best,

Po-Kai

Thanks Po-Kai.  That would be fine.  Or, since the reference to 11.22.12 is already there, we may not need the new text about "established according ...".  But, you're correct about inserting "use" where I deleted "reuse".  Thanks.

Hi Mark,

I see your point. I can revise like below to bring the agreement to avoid any confusion..

If a WUR AP and an associated WUR non-AP STA support traffic filtering service (TFS) as specified in 11.22.12 (TFS Procedures), then the WUR AP and the WUR non-AP STA may use thereuse existing traffic filter sets established according to the traffic filtering agreement between the WUR AP and the associated WUR non-AP STA  to control the WUR Short Wake-up frame or the WUR Wake-up frame transmission as described in 29.9.3 (WUR AP operation).

Best,

Po-Kai

Thank you both for the thorough review.

I agree with all the suggestions, except one.

In 29.9.1, the deletion of “existing” is not because of any redundancy, but rather because in the context of this paragraph and sentence, there is no TFS agreement mentioned, that could be an “existing” TFS set.  All this paragraph says is that if the AP and STA support TFS, then they can use it for the listed WUR frames.  They are not re-using anything, nor is anything “existing”.  I would suggest we delete both the words “reuse existing”.
