On 27 July 2025, our WG Chair received an external liaison from the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India, on a draft national standard “Wi-Fi over mmWave (n257, n258) Technology (WoMT)Access Point (WoMT-AP) and Station (WoMT-STA)”, which specifies the requirements for WoMT-AP and WoMT-STA devices that enable access to services provided by Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) networks operating in the licensed n257 and n258 bands, spanning the 24.25 – 29.5 GHz frequency range. Robert instructs us, the task group bq, to review the draft standard and finalize a draft response by this Thursday using the template that can be found in 25/1334r0
I've allocated about 20 minutes each on Tuesday PM3 and Thursday PM1 to review the draft and finalize the input. We would encourage you to review the draft standards in advance to facilitate the discussion this week.
