Dear Edward, and TGbq participants,
I would like to nominate my colleague Javier Perez-Ramirez (Ofinno) for the position of Secretary of the IEEE 802.11bq Task Group.
Javier has worked on wireless communication systems including Wi-Fi for over 11 years, spanning 802.11 research, prototyping, and standardization. He also developed and prototyped low-latency, high-reliability wireless time-sensitive networking for Wi-Fi client devices, evaluated MAC and PHY candidates for next-generation 802.11, and built proofs-of-concept with partners. He also contributed to IEEE 802.15.7 on visible light communications.
In IEEE 802.11, Javier has been one of active contributors to TGbn on seamless roaming, NPCA, Co-RTWT, and DSO, and has authored several comment resolution documents for the 11bn draft. He has participated in TGbq actively and has presented several contributions on CCA in IMMW, scheduled P2P in IMMW, TDLS for IMMW, and IMMW on-demand operation.
I believe Javier's combination of technical depth in the IMMW topics under discussion and his careful, organized working style will allow him to support the TGbq Chair, Vice Chairs, and Editor and help the group keep its discussions and specification work moving smoothly.
Javier is copied here and can speak to any questions ahead of the vote.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Jeongki Kim
