0~Rios, Carlos~carlos@riostek.com~(408)202-6294~(408)202-6294~RiosTek LLC~10~10.1-10.4~00~00~TR~All methods suggested for collaborative coexistence impose an unacceptable burden on 802.11 equipment (requiring either marriage to 802.15 equipment and/or incorporation of sophisticated interference ameliorating subsystems) as well as upon 802.11b network operation.  Note that high cost, high value added and high maintenance 802.11 networks are the de-facto wireless networking infrastructure and are already being taxed to their existing valuable capacity even as they provide highly efficient utilization of the scarce available spectrum. The tacit assumption that ephemeral, lower capacity, less spectrally efficient and, therefore,  arguably lower value WPANs are due equivalent, across the board access to the scarce spectrum resources is a dubious assertion at best.  In a manner analogous to the users/makers of Segway scooters not deserving unfettered access to the interstate highway system, the WPAN proponents should not be demanding their own dedicated traffic lanes (AWMA a-priori, fixed time-slot allocations), dedicated police escorts (PTA traffic cops), or automated pull-over-for-the-little-old-lady-driver-NOW mechanisms (spectral excision). Rather, as the Segway folk have found a way to use the sidewalks, the WPAN folks should find and use a way that doesnt disrupt the WLAN traffic. Happily, their suggested non-collaborative Adaptive Frequency Hopping mechanism is an IDEAL way to do just that. This approach places NO burden on WLAN networks or equipment, and produces NO reduction in WPAN throughput. This approach renders all the other proposed coexistence methods unnecessary.~Remove all references to collaborative coexistence techniques in the document.  Modify Section 4.3 to delete references to Collaborative models.  Delete Section 4.3.2 and Delete Section 10.~~X~O
