P802.17b

This amendment to IEEE Standard 802.17-2004 defines an addition to the 802.17 MAC to support a spatially aware sublayer (SAS).

The 802.17b project is described by its Project Authorization Request (PAR) and its description of how it meets the LMSC 5 Criteria.

News and Updates

On the 7th of March 2007, the IEEE Standards Association Standards Board approved the IEEE 802.17b-2007 amendment to IEEE 802.17-2004. The final standard text is available for purchase from the IEEE in IEEE Shop in PDF and printed forms. It is also available for free from the LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) via the 802.17 page of the Get IEEE 802® Program.
