[802.3_200GMMF] Announcement: IEEE P802.3ds TF Ad hoc Meeting - Tuesday 03 March 2026 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST (UTC -5)



Dear P802.3ds TF participants

This email is to announce an IEEE P802.3ds TF Ad hoc Meeting on Tuesday, 03 March 2026, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST (UTC -5) - no registration/registration fee required. Please note that a separate email will be sent with the meeting invitation.

Please also note that I sent out a prior email to announce another Ad hoc meeting on Wednesday, 04 Feb 2026, 10 AM – 1 PM EST (UTC -5)
 - no registration/registration fee required. Both the 04 February Ad hoc and the 03 March Ad hoc meetings are as needed/contingent on having contributions in support of the agenda below.

The agenda for the ad hoc meeting will be to review presentations and build consensus related to meeting the TF Objectives, making progress towards a baseline, and developing TF needs/requirements for new MMF that can be liaised to IEC/fiber standards. 

Individuals wishing to request presentation time shall email me at mabudchoudhury@xxxxxxxx and to Guangcan Mi at miguangcan@xxxxxxxxxx by Tuesday, 24 February 2026 AOE
The presenter shall email a PDF, soft-copy version of the presentation to me at mabudchoudhury@xxxxxxxx and to Guangcan Mi at miguangcan@xxxxxxxxxx by Friday, 27 February 2026, 11 a.m. EST (UTC-5). Please make sure that page numbers are included in your presentation. Please review and follow the Procedure for Presenters https://ieee802.org/3/ds/public/presentproc.html for the presentation requests and the presentations (with the deadlines being the ones listed above). 

As a reminder, please ensure that all requests for presentations or submissions of presentation materials do not include restrictive notices at the bottom of the email. All such emails will be refused, and requests/presentations will not be acknowledged. All individuals submitting presentations should review the Procedures for Presenters Page for the respective projects noted above.

It will be greatly appreciated if presenters review their presentations to verify that they have followed the cited Procedures for Presenters. 

To support the web site search tool used by the IEEE P802.3 website, the 'Document Information' fields of the PDF file must be completed as follows:       
  • Title: Title of presentation       
  • Author: Name(s) of author(s) & affiliation(s)      
  • Subject:  IEEE P802.3ds 200 Gb/s per Wavelength MMF PHYs Task Force
Presentations that do not have the fields properly filled out will not be accepted.

Regarding Relative Cost Analysis       
  • Presentations addressing relative cost analysis may require IEEE Risk management review if individuals do not follow guidelines provided in IEEE SA Anti-trust policy available at http://standards.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/antitrust.pdf.   ·       
  • Further information about the IEEE 802.3 cost discussion can be found in “Presentation on Cost Discussions to IEEE 802.3 Working Group” (See https://www.ieee802.org/3/100GNGOPTX/public/may12/lindsay_01_0512_optx.pdf). ·       
  • Please note that such an IEEE Risk management review can take up to ~30 days. Individuals not budgeting sufficient time for review may have presentations scheduled for later meetings to allow these reviews.
