Dear Colleagues,
The 1st Standards Association recirculation ballot on the Amendment IEEE P802.3cn 50 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s over greater than 10 km of SMF closed successfully on 5th September 2019. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The September 2019 IEEE P802.3cn Task Force interim meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 2 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database has already been announced on the IEEE P802.3cn Task Force reflector.
The ballot statistics are:
88 Voters
77 Approve
1 Disapprove
4 Abstain
82 Ballots returned
93% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
4% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
98% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
