Dear Colleagues,
The IEEE P802.3dj Task Force editorial team received feedback from IEEE SA staff on the proposed responses to comments against D3.2. Their feedback was valuable to our path to request conditional approval to proceed to RevCom. The
feedback is as follows for bucket1:
Item #1: -5, R2-9, R2-10, R2-11, R2-38, R2-39, R2-40, R2-41, R2-44, R2-56, R2-58, R2-84, R2-85, R2-104, R2-133, R2-165, R2-168, R2-173, R2-176, R2-207 - Recommend changing "This change will be passed to the IEEE staff editor for consideration
during final editing." to "This change is referred to IEEE SA Editorial staff for consideration during preparation for publication."
Item #2: R2-8 - Recommend deleting the following text - "The wording could be further clarified to read "is less than or equal to the minimum of the range specified in Table 178-6", but this change is not required."
Item #3: R2-12 - It appears that there will be no change made to the draft. This should be Reject instead of Accept in Principle. I would also recommend changing the last sentence on deferring the change to editorial staff as noted
above.
Similar changes to the first item were also made in the full comment reports.
During the P802.3dj Task Force electronic meeting session, a motion is anticipated on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 to accept the proposed responses to comments in “Bucket 1.” Please note any comments withdrawn from “Bucket 1” will be
excluded explicitly in this motion.
Additionally, the editorial team may continue to refine the proposed responses to comments that are not contained in bucket1 and may provide updated proposed response comment reports. These updates, if made, will be announced via the
email reflector.
With regards,
-Kent

Subject: [802.3dj] Second Recirculation SA Ballot Proposed Responses & Bucket1 Posted
Dear Colleagues,
The P802.3dj Task Force Chair delegated to me the announcement of the proposed response reports and “bucket 1”.
Note to all commenters and participants –
In the interest of devoting as much meeting time as possible to perceived issues, the editorial team was encouraged to make liberal use of “Bucket 1” for comments.
