[802.3_POPI] Request for presentation in Bangkok

I’d like to request a presentation for Bangkok:  “Options for structure of the POPI draft amendment”

The proposed contribution will explore and provide discussion for the task force on potential structures for the POPI text.

The text needs to cover a number of areas unique to POPI:

  • Architecture (RS, RS-splitting with an interface between)
  • Logical interface definition
  • Out-of-band microframe signalling format
  • General encoding of primitives, sequence ordered sets, etc.
  • High speed PCS encoding (e.g., 64/66B)
  • Low speed PCS (e.g., 8B/9B)
  • High speed electrical specifications (serdes speeds, levels, etc.)
  • Low speed electrical specifications

Then there are the issues of which other clauses may need modification to accommodate POPI…
