In implementing the comments for 802.3da D3p2, Val and I have agreed on the following changes under the editorial license granted by the motion. This information is being provided for full disclosure and
will be in the comment response database uploaded to i
- Comment R1-25: this comment deletes the mixing segment return loss. While implementing this comment, it was found that 189.5.5.1 pointed to equation
188-4 (which this comment deletes) incorrectly thinking it was the TCI return loss. As a result, the additional change was added under editorial license, since it was clear that the text was intending to reference Equation 188-6. (which was 188-7 in d3p1):
Change reference in 189.5.5.1 stating "TCI return loss as specified in Equation (188-4)" to "TCI return loss as specified in Equation (188-6)"
Additionally, this comment says to make the changes on slide 12 of zimmerman_TCIRLIL_3da_01_10152025.pdf. Slide 12 changes the TCI insertion loss “low frequency range…” over “0.3<f<1.3”
MHz. Editorially, this means the next higher frequency range start point needs to change from 1.0 MHz to 1.3 MHz to match.
- Comment R1-61: this comment modified Figure 148-3. The editing instruction for Figure 148-3 summarizes the changes to the figure, so , under editorial
license, we added the following to the editing instruction: and adding an exit from the RECEIVE state to the SYNCING state (tag D) on the condition (rx_cmd = BEACON) * (local_nodeID
!= 0)):
-
- Comment R1-51 – The comment read “This aMPDAdminState attribute maps to…” –There is only one attribute named aMPDAdminState, so it is editorially changed
to “The aMPDAdminState attribute maps to…”
