[802.3_DIALOG] 802.3 Extended Reach BASE-T/PoE Ad Hoc scope

I have received a few questions regarding contributions hoping to provide information to study extended reach in IEEE 802.3.  I would like to remind the group that the scope of this ad hoc is to provide comments back to TIA on the draft TSB that we were liaised.  To be clear, this ad hoc is not an IEEE 802.3 study group, task force, or even an activity like the New Ethernet Applications industry connections activity, which might have a broader scope for presentations to suggest or study a more general problem.

I encourage participants to focus on the document we were liaised and on making comments.  Any contributions needed to support a particular comment are welcome but should be focused on the document itself.

As announced, our next meeting is scheduled for October 29 (7-9am pacific), with contribution requests to me by 5 PM pacific Time, October 27.

Our goal will be to produce a draft liaison response, including any comment responses by the end of that meeting, for consideration by the 802.3 Working Group at the November plenary closing meeting.
