Dear Privacy EC SG members, As discussed in today’s meeting, we need to refine the scope and purpose of the group. The main remaining issue is the identification of the intended audience for the potential 802 recommended practices document.
Once we have clarified this issue we would be able to move ahead with the future PAR/CSD proposal. Below in this thread you will find a preliminary response to the comments received. We also had an interesting presentation by Max Riegel about how can a systematic Privacy assessment can be made on 802 specifications: https://mentor.ieee.org/omniran/dcn/15/omniran-15-0015-00-CF00-privacy-engineered-access-network.pptx.
We can consider using this document as baseline for the intended recommended practices document. Finally, It was decided that an extension of the SG be requested to the 802 EC for one more cycle. I will make the request tomorrow at the 802 EC closing plenary. Best regards, Juan Carlos From: Zuniga, Juan Carlos Dear EC members, Please find below a link to the responses from the SG to the comments received: https://mentor.ieee.org/privecsg/dcn/15/privecsg-15-0013-01-0000-response-to-par-csd-comments.pptx Regards, Juan Carlos From: Zuniga, Juan Carlos Dear 802 EC members, The Privacy EC SG has received several comments on the PAR/CSD. We appreciate the feedback received. Comments have been captured in the following file: https://mentor.ieee.org/privecsg/dcn/15/privecsg-15-0010-01-ecsg-par-csd-comments-received.pptx The group believes that some comments require further and more detailed consideration. Therefore, I have been appointed by the group to request to the EC withdrawing the Privacy EC SG PAR proposal from the March 13th Agenda.
Comment responses will still be provided by March 12th.
Best regards, Juan Carlos (Privacy EC SG Chair -
