Christian,

If you are interested in the MAC Address Randomization experiments and results at the IETF and IEEE 802 meetings, we published a paper at the IEEE CSCN in Tokyo (right before the IETF Yokohama meeting):

“Wi-Fi Internet connectivity and privacy: hiding your tracks on the wireless Internet”; Bernardos, C.J., Zuniga, J.C., and O’Hanlon, P.; IEEE CSCN 2015

Here is a link to the actual paper:

Searching in the 802.11 archives, there are many proposals for privacy: https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/documents?o=0a&is_dcn=privacy

These are just the ones with privacy in the title.

MAC address privacy has been added to a new mode of Wi-Fi operation by the Wi-Fi Alliance in their Wi-Fi Aware specification: http://www.wi-fi.org/discover-wi-fi/wi-fi-aware

I am looking to add a reference to the IEEE MAC Address Privacy work in an RFC. Should I use http://www.ieee802.org/PrivRecsg/ or is there something more up to date?
