I have a problem
with item #3. When I go to the IEEE Working Group 802.16 on Broadband
Wireless Access site(http://www.ieee802.org/16/mobile/index.html) there are no minutes. Section 5.4.1.3 of the IEEE 802 LMSC
operating rules state there are to be minutes. Where are the
minutes?
In the operation
procedures " Procedure 2, PROCEDURE FOR PARS" part 3, sub parapgraph 2 states "
The PAR must be presented in summary at the opening
Plenary meeting to the general 802
membership. Supporting material must be available in sufficient detail
for members of other Working Groups to
understand if they have an interest in the proposed PAR, i.e., if they would
like to contribute/participate in the
proposed work, or identify if there is conflict with existing or
anticipated work in their current Working
Group. It is highly recommended that a tutorial be given at a previous Plenary session for major new work
items."
Based on this
paragraph, I request-
1- The group identifies
the supporting documentation, not a list of contributions. There is no way
to determine which contribtions were accepted, rejected or
modified.
2- We get this tutorial
so there is no conflict with the mobility study group.
The standard in section
#3, does not address the security issues. It ignores all the security work
done under 802.11. This lack of knowledge is clear by the missing
reference to 802.1x
