As you are aware, we have submitted the MBWA PAR and Five Criteria
to the Executive Committee for consideration. As part of the approval process
we must be prepared to answer questions that other WGs may have, by 5:00 pm Wednesday of
the plenary week. I am, therefore, structuring the November MBWA ECSG meeting
to reserve Tuesday and Wednesday for the handling of PAR questions and answers.
Below is the high level plan for the meeting:
- Monday afternoon we will meet briefly from 3:30pm to 4:15pm to get
organized. At 4:30pm I am scheduled
to present our PAR to 802.16 so they can get a better understanding of the
PAR
- Tuesday start time is 8:00AM. At 8:30am I
expect either Brian Kiernan or Roger Marks to make a presentation to
us to help us get a better understanding of their mobility PAR. The rest
of the day will be spent in reviewing PARs and identifying any issues we
may have with any PARs.
- Wednesday is reserved for generating replies to any
questions we may have received; if the load is light we may move some
material from Thursday to Wednesday afternoon.
- Thursday is allocated to presentations and discussions.
In accordance with the agreement at the last meeting this will be more in
the nature of informational and planning topics rather than initial detailed
technical work. The topics that I hope will be addressed are:
- Mobility enabling technologies and capabilities
- Working methodology
- Workplan related topics
I will be posting a more detailed agenda prior to the
meeting.
