stds-802-mobility: Questions about the "Desired Characteristics"

A couple of questions/comments about the Desired Characteristics document:

(1) There are a couple of places where it is suggested that IETF protocols should be adopted. Other 802 working groups haven't been allowed to specify use of IETF protocols, so I would have thought 802.20 would run into problems with this.

(2) Surely fitting within the 802 architecture should be a requirement?

(3) Is an asymmetric solution acceptable? By asymmetric I mean one where the PHY implementation is much more complex at the Access Point end than at the client end.

Mike.
