stds-802-mobility: 802.20 September Interim Session - Singapore Registration Information Available

802.20 Participants,

Information concerning the Singapore Interim session is now available at: http://www.ieee802.org/20/meet_next.htm . The registration process for this meeting is different than in the past. Bob Heile (Chair of 802.15) and I have gone through the process to identify the differences, below are some  pointers that will let you know what to expect as you navigate through the process.

  • A few pointers about the Online Registration Process: The first screen has an entry titled: "First time submission without password". This has nothing to do with attendance at previous IEEE sessions or your attendance password that you may have used at those sessions. It is referring to whether it is the first time through the registration process for this particular session in Singapore. So when you first make your bookings you start here. At the end of the process you will receive a registration password that you can use to return to the registration site if you have any changes or edits.

If you require a Visa, you can request an invitation letter as part of the registration process. The list of countries specified on that web page as requiring Visas may not be complete or up to date, so please check with your travel agent or the Singapore Bureau of Tourism to be sure and request a letter if in doubt.

Please note, you will have to enter your credit card info twice. Once is for holding the hotel booking. Your card will not be charged until you check out. The second is for the session registration fee. Be sure to complete the entire process and receive your password or the transaction will not be recorded.

I understand that there is a great social planned for Wednesday evening so we can mix a little fun into all the hard work.  See you all in
Singapore.

Regards,
