802.20 All,
For your information 802.18 is moving their website URL.
Regards,
Jerry Upton Office: +1-847-692-2497 The IEEE 802.18 Radio Regulatory Technical Advisory Group ("RR-TAG") website is moving to a new URL, available now at: http://www.ieee802.org/18/ The old site at http://www.ieee802.org/Regulatory/ is still active and as of now they are in sync (except for a notice at the top of the main page at the old URL, pointing to the new one). Please rename your old bookmark for the old URL (e.g. "IEEE 802.18 Website OLD") and bookmark the new URL. That way if you find any broken links or have other problems at the new URL, you can go back to the old one. 802.18 documents are also available in the 802.18 RR-TAG's "documents" section on http://www.802wirelessworld.com (available by the web, except for plenary and interim weeks when 802wirelessworld is only available on-site at the meetings). Please try our the new URL and let me know, with as much specific information as possible, if you find any broken links, missing content, etc. and I will endeavour to fix it ASAP. Send such reports to carl.stevenson@ieee.org Over the coming weeks, I hope to accomplish some ongoing transformation of the new website as it is proven reliable - adding some hopefully useful new content and links, archiving *really* old files, and elminating unnecessary or redundant categories and links to clean things up. Again, please report any problems - I can't fix them if I don't know they exist, though I've tested the new URL with some moderate degree of thoroughness I could have missed something. After the new URL has proven itself (a few weeks at least ... maybe until just before the November plenary) I will leave the old URL and its underlying file structure intact as a back-up. However, if all is going well, I expect to tell the network administrator at IEEE HQ to "blow away" the /Regulatory folder shortly before the November plenary to free up a few hundred megabytes of disk space that's duplicated in the new /18 directory structure.
