Re: [802-20-GENERAL:] ECCG Conf. Call, Sept. 28 - summary

The Evaluation Criteria CG Conference Call was completed as planned on September 28, 2004. The participants in the call include the following:- Jim Tomcik, Aymen Naguib, Gwen Barrial, Rao Yallapragada (Qualcomm), Joann Wilson, Mike Youssefmir (Arraycomm), Daniel Tsui (InterDigital), Anna Tee (Samsung).

We discussed the phased approach for proposal evaluation. The question on the definition and expectation of each phase was discussed. It was clarified that the purpose of phased approach has been described in the evaluation document (ver. 11r1). The original intention on the use of channel models in Phase 1, i.e., all users with the same channel model was clarified. Additional channel models to be used would depend on the outcome of the channel models CG. The evaluation configurations that are required for Phase 2 were discussed with the help of the Table. The attached document has been updated with the results of the discussion.

Other open issues that require contributions include: Traffic models for gaming, VoIP and methodology for calibration.

Any questions or further discussions are welcome. Thanks for your attention.

Best regards,
Anna.
