The following is a summary of the evaluation criteria CG conference call that has taken place on Feb 8, 4-6pm EST.
Contribution C802.20-05-04r3 was reviewed for a recap of the status of evaluation criteria document. Evaluation criteria document version 13a as posted has updated with the following issues during January's Interim meeting:
1) section 3.2: Performance metrics for throughput vs SINR modified [04/88];
2) section 4.3.8: Video source data rate changed to 64 kbps [04/88,05/11], with a new open issue on the size of video buffer;
3) section 4.1: 4 options listed for channel models mix [04/82r1];
Merged contribution on system-level simulator calibration [04/83r2+05/07r1-->04/83r3a] was discussed. The following is a list of open issues discussed during the call:
1) Fixed user locations need to be specified for step 1: deterministic calibration;
2) Should the same number of users be used in both steps 1 & 2?
3) Clarify how the C/I data should be plotted;
4) Current calibration methodology considers SISO channel models only, how could MIMO channel models be calibrated?
5) Clarify the footnote on: "channel inversion power control";
6) In step 3, the users are limited to locations that are at least 35m from the base station; need to check if this is consistent with the channel models document;
7) Clarify further assumptions on technology and link budget for the computation of C/I for the calibration, e.g., frequency reuse 1, with all users transmitting at the same time; clarify assumptions on receiver impairment.
8) Need to specify the success criteria of the calibration, e.g., tolerance in the differences of calibration data from different proponents.
Any further suggestions, comments or contributions are welcome. The next conference call has been scheduled for Feb 22, 2005, 4-6 pm EST.
Best regards,
