Re: [802-20-GENERAL:] Other 802 Working Groups Activites - Mar 05 Plenary

Title: Message
Jerry, Mike:

Re Ofcom SFR PCons, the deadline has already been missed by 3 weeks now.   I also note that in many cases the reasonings behind the posed Questions have been quite lost in the preparation of draft responses (that which was attached).  I shall be there next week, happy to explain.

The PCons that is current, the second part of the SFR ("SFR:IP" (NOT Internet Protocol, note)) has a deadline that is imminent also.  There has also been a related PCons that had a recent deadline in the Rep I.

Subject: [802-20-GENERAL:] Other 802 Working Groups Activites - Mar 05 Plenary

All,

Three Working Group PARs will be reviewed and voted on by the Executive Committee at the Friday EC meeting in Atlanta. Comments are due from Working Groups back to the PAR Working Group no later than Tuesday by 5PM at the Plenary.
Roger Marks, the Chair of 802.16, has created a consolidated link to the three PARs, please use this link (http://ieee802.org/16/meetings/mtg36/lmsc/pars.html)
or go to the individual WG sites.
We will review any comments Monday afternoon in our session. If you have comments in advance please send them to the 802.20 reflector or you may send them directly to me.

In addition to the above PARs, 802.18 Regulatory is developing a response to an "Ofcom's Spectrum Framework Review" request. The full request document is available at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/consult/condocs/sfr/sfr.pdf
Also attached is the current draft response that 802.18 has created. Mike Lynch, Chair of 802.18, and Jim Raab will attend our Monday session after the afternoon break and answer questions. Please review the draft and send myself and Jim (James_Raab@Dell.com) any comments in advance.

Regards,
Jerry Upton
Chair, IEEE 802.20
