[mailto:owner-stds-802-18@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG] On Behalf Of Michael Lynch Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 3:00 PM To: STDS-802-18@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG Subject: [802-18] IEEE 802.18 September Interim Meeting Dear all, At our meeting in San Francisco last week the RR-TAG passed a motion asking the chair to investigate the possibility of hold the September interim in meeting in Geneva. The dates for that meeting would be the same as the Orange County interim, 19 - 23 September. Your chair took action and contacted the ITU. The response received this morning was that they are happy to provide a room for our meeting. In order to facilitate access to the ITU facilities we will have to register as attending ITU meetings. While there are several meetings occurring that week we have been asked to register for the ITU-R WP8A meeting which begins 22 September. I will provide more details on registration in a future email. As a very rough work plan for the week I propose that we meet as 802.18 Monday - Wednesday then join the WP8A meeting on Thursday and Friday. It is very possible that our meeting will be joined by delegates from other ITU meetings or ITU staff. While there will not be an announcement of the 802.18 meeting on the ITU website our meeting will be listed with the other meetings on the TV monitors. I strongly encourage those who plan on attending to book hotels now. While there seem to be an adequate number of hotels in all price ranges today that will not be the case by the time of the meeting. Here is a URL to the ITU listing of hotels offering special rates. When you book tell them that you will be attending ITU-R WP8A. <http://www.itu.int/travel/> http://www.itu.int/travel/ Please let me know if you will be attending the Geneva meeting.
