All, In accordance with the 802 Policies and Procedures, Working Group Officer Elections shall take place in the March Plenary of even-numbered years.
The IEEE 802.20 Working Group shall elect a Chair, a Procedural Vice Chair, and a Liaison Vice Chair, as officers, at the March Plenary.
Members are encouraged to declare their candidacy via the Working Group email reflector. The names of members who declare their candidacy at least eight days (Feb. 25, 2006) before the scheduled election shall be placed on the paper ballot. Other nominations will be taken at the beginning of the election, but those nominees will not have their names printed on the ballot.
The election shall be held at 7:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2006.
The 802.20 Officer Election Process is detailed in Appendix A of the Working Group P&P (802.20-PD-05). Please send me any questions concerning the process or the duties of the officers.
I will be seeking re-election as the Chair and therefore declare my candidacy.
Also attached is an announcement from Paul Nikolich, Chair, IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee, regarding the Executive Committee Chair election.
Regards, Jerry Upton Chair, 802.20
