- Thread-Topic: ITU-R Circular Letter 5/LCCE/2 - Invitation for proposals on IMT-Advanced
Dear EC, Attached is ITU-R Circular Letter 5/LCCE/2 with the subject of "Invitation for submission of proposals for candidate radio interface technologies for the terrestrial components of the radio interface(s) for IMT-Advanced and invitation to participate in their subsequent evaluation". This circular letter relates to the work that some IEEE 802 WGs have been doing on IMT-Advanced requirements and evaluation. Note that this circular letter will be have additional annexes added to it at the June, 2008 ITU-R WP5D meeting to be held in the UAE. WP5D sent it out now in order to provide sufficient time for their membership to decide on how to participate. IEEE SA is a Sector Member of ITU-R. Technology submissions are requested for the first ITU-R WP5D meeting of 2009 which is expected to be held in the January/February timeframe. This letter should be of interest to all of IEEE 802 as the decision is made to participate or not in the effort to create a joint IEEE 802 input to WP5D.
