802.20 Voting Members
As you may be aware, with the approval of the 802.20 standard, the 802 Executive Committee (EC) is contemplating restoring the WG operations to the normal 802 individual participation procedures. To facilitate that decision the EC has requested that I
run a poll of the working group.
I am running two separate polls: one a straw poll of the individual members and the second a formal vote by the designated voters (or their alternate).
This e-mail constitutes the straw poll of the individual members. Only individuals who are members of 802.20 (including the designated voters) are eligible to cast a vote in this straw poll.
You are asked to vote on the following question:
The 802.20 WG requests that the UC-EC restore the voting procedures for business conducted in 802.20 to those specified for groups operating under "Individual Balloting" procedures as specified in the IEEE SA-SB Operations
Manual.
Please note you may vote Approve, Do not Approve or Abstain. A vote against this question implies that you do not want to request a change in the voting procedures. Note, however, that the UC-EC is not bound to follow the WG
recommendation.
