In all fairness to
politicians, I suspect this is a proposal that was written hastely by people who
don't understand the implications. Before it becomes law (if it does), it
will probably get review and change to make it more reasonable. We
occasionally get off the wall proposals too.
I agree with Buzz
that we need some balance. A proposal isn't a reason to cancel meetings. Some
letters explaining the concerns would be appropriate. I expect your theme park
friends could help with identifying the appropriate individuals and getting the
information to them.
