[802SEC] Important Information about future SPONSOR ballot requests...Please read!!

Dear IEEE-802SEC:

The IEEE Standards Balloting Center is pleased to announce that staff-level
testing has begun on the updated IEEE Standards electronic balloting
system, called MyBallot. The Balloting Center is working to ensure that
MyBallot will fulfill your Sponsor balloting needs. Since this is a crucial
component of the IEEE standards development process, it is absolutely
necessary that balloting staff dedicate time to testing.

IEEE P802 has requested priority processing of many sponsor ballot
requests. These requests have all been processed within a 24-hour time
frame, although the stated turn-around time for IEEE Sponsor ballots is 3-5
business days.

Due to the testing of MyBallot, the Balloting Center staff cannot guarantee
the priority processing that you have experienced. It is always the staff's
intention to fulfill your needs in a timely manner, and we ask for your
support in the revitalization of IEEE Standards balloting by allowing at
least 3 business days to process your ballot requests. Keep in mind that
processing time starts when all required materials are submitted. In
addition, please understand that any special ballot requests may affect the
overall timing.

Thank you for your cooperation as we strive to develop a more robust
balloting system.
