The 802.11’s 25^th anniversary press release may be found here:

This was approved in the PUB SC in 802.11, and will be brought for approval

in the WG.

 

IEEE-SA Marketing staff worked with us on the PUB SC meeting to explain

their needs (i.e. the different media used) and work on the contents.
