Footnote added.

Dear EC Members:

Glenn suggested a few edits that do not change the meaning, but simply substitutes 802.11 for Wi-Fi in a number of sections of the Background.

Please let me know if there are any objections ASAP. Paul has to get this to the GPPC by Monday.

Thank you.

Rich,

Looks good.  Glenn, can we assume you'll change your vote to "Approve" now for R9?

Rich, please add the following footnote to the opening paragraph of R9 (if you have time).

"This document solely represents the views of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee and does not necessarily represent a position of either the IEEE or the IEEE Standards Association."'.

If you can do this, please do and send a note to the EC reflector indicating a link to the latest revision with a brief note saying you added the footnote and incorporated the editorial changes made to address Glenn's comments:
a) Editorially, I could comment that the frequency ranges should not be bundled (that is I think “5350-5470 MHz” should be “5350 MHz to 5470 MHz”) ….

b) I think the term “Wi-Fi” is used too often and should really be replaced by “IEEE 802.11”

Regards,

As the meaning is not affected, these are editorial changes.

Thanks.

Paul:

R9, with changes in the intro to limit the use of the term “Wi-Fi” and use 802.11 devices and products, but could not change some.
