Dear Paul,

This email is to remind you that the projects listed below will expire at the end of 2021 and action is required.

P802.1Qcj Standard for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks -- Bridges and Bridged Networks Amendment: Automatic Attachment to Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) services
P802.1ABcu Standard for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks - Station and Media Access Control Connectivity Discovery Amendment: YANG Data Model

If any of these projects will not be submitted to RevCom by the submittal deadline for the December 2021 meeting, you need to take one of the following steps:

1. Request an extension for the project (PAR). Extension requests are usually granted from one to two years. Significant justification must be provided for an extension request that exceeds two years. Please note, submitting a PAR extension request will not extend the life of a standard that expires at the end of 2021. Please see these FAQs about Maintenance of Standards.

2. Request withdrawal of the project (PAR).

Log in to myProject (https://development.standardsieee.org) to submit a request for either of these actions under the link for 'Submit a PAR'. Once submitted, the request to Extend an Approved PAR or the request to Withdraw an Approved PAR will be placed on the agenda of the next scheduled NesCom meeting. NesCom will make its recommendation based upon the information provided.

If there is no response to this notification by the 18 October 2021 NesCom/RevCom submittal deadline, the PARs will be recommended for administrative withdrawal at the 8 December 2021 IEEE SA Standards Board meeting.

For your reference, the upcoming NesCom/RevCom meetings and submittal deadlines can be found on this calendar: https://standards.ieee.org/content/dam/ieee-standards/standards/web/governance/sasb/2021calendar.pdf. The next submittal deadline is 18 March for the April NesCom/RevCom meetings.

Also, I have looked for the PARs on upcoming agendas, but if any remained on this list in error, please let me know. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Best regards,

Lisa Weisser
