Dear LMSC/EC Members,

 

With this email I would like to announce the start of an LMSC(EC) ballot on reply comments to the FCC in response to their NPRM proposing rules changes for motion sensing radars in the 60GHz band, where we have standards and have concerns on coexistence.  We did file comments on a waiver on this subject a few years back.

 

Paul has delegated to me to conduct a LMSC(EC) 10-day electronic ballot on the motion below to approve the reply comments to the FCC.  This EC motion is per IEEE 802 OM 7.2.1 Procedure, P&P 7.1 b) (majority response) and P&P 7.1.2 (2/3 approval of votes cast) for communication with government bodies and public statements.

 

•       Motion: Approve reply comments in https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/21/18-21-0110-08-0000-reply-comments-of-ieee-802-60-ghz-motion-sensing-fcc-nprm-et-21-264.docx; to FCC NPRM (ET Docket No. 21-264) on Amendment of Section 15.255 of the Commission’s Rules for 60GHz Radar Sensing Technology.  For uploading to the FCC on or before 18Oct20 or latest reply comment deadline. With the Chair of 802.18 authorized to make editorial changes, as necessary.
