Hello:

Shouldn’t the universal power standard be designed such that there is no problem with connecting current designs? Power should not be delivered unless safely negotiated. That’s one of the advantages of a smart power adapter. Why not remove the goal that says, “Connector must not mate with any current designs –product Safety issue –no confusion.”
