UPAMD, Will the qualified voters please cast votes, to upamd-vote@xxxxxxxx, on the two following balloting items. Qualified voter are determined by attendance record as recorded in http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/msc/upamd/private/MemberList20110621.xls Ballot issue 1. “Shall UPAMD/P1823 increase the upper limit of the power range up to 240VA but not to exceed 60VDC or 7A on power pins?” Ballot issue 2. “Shall UPAMD/P1823 adopt a single wire communications strategy, while retaining two connector pins for redundancy now and possible expansion to differential pair communications in the future?” Note: Ballot issue 1 does not change the standard, default, voltage level of 21V out of the adapter and >20V delivered to sink, after cable loss, with the expected current of up to 6.5-7A. It will, however, ALLOW a NEGOTIATED voltage above 21V out for those systems that need additional power and higher voltages such as for printers. Please send your votes to upamd-vote@xxxxxxxx. Please vote by the 27th of June. Respectfully; Bob Davis Chair UPAMD/P1823 bobd@xxxxxxxx 408.353.5990 desk 408.857.1273 cell bob.davis.scsi.com Skype |
