Ballot for Differential Pair or Single wire communications line.

Eligible voters please respond to the following question by 11:59PM PDT 10 October 2011.  Please be sure to include  upamd-vote@xxxxxxxx in the response.  All votes will be counted at the upamd-vote@xxxxxxxx address.  Voter eligibility can be checked on the membership attendance list on the private page of the UPAMD website.

 

This motion for this ballot was made by Alex Schneider and seconded by Mark Anderson. It passed without opposition.

 

Chose one of  the following for the CAN Communication Link:

1.     Single Wire with signal return through the NEG power wire.

2.     A pair of wires used as a differential pair.

3.     Provisions for Both Single and Wire Pair.

 

This topic will be discussed at least at the Connector Subcommittee Meeting on Thursday 29 September, the Communications Subcommittee Meeting on 4 October, and the Power Subcommittee Meeting on 6 October prior to the close of voting.
