Dear Members of PatCom,

And further to my email about the ad hoc, I recall from the PatCom meeting that a “straw poll” was taken to see if there was enough support for the endeavor, after which time the ad hoc was created with the those present who expressed an interest in participating.

Notably, however, Straw Polls are not allowed in meetings subject to Robert’s Rules of Order, which I believe PatCom observes.  That said, for the sake of being open and transparent, I further believe it would be prudent to open this Patent Policy Deployment Ad Hoc to any member of PP-Dialog who wishes to participate.

With many thanks and kindest regards,

[PP-DIALOG] From 29 June 2016 PatCom // 5.1 Implementation-Education

Hi,

I notice from the meeting minutes that the PowerPoint Presentation presented by Chuck Adams, titled IEEE-SA Patent Policy Deployment and located at http://standards.ieee.org/about/sasb/patcom/private/616patagen_5-1.pptis behind a password protected site.

I was hopeful, as part of the ad hoccreated to address the issues raised therein, PatCom could send along the above PPT to the PP-DIALOG or to at least the Ad Hoc.

Kindly,
