[PP-DIALOG] Question about use of letters to communicate with BoG

I wanted to ask a question that is raised by the recent submission of letters by Orange and by Ron Katznelson.  My understanding was that the only form in which the BoG would receive input was the use of the Excel template that IEEE-SA provided when it announced the request for comment process.  As we experienced, and I suspect we are not alone in this, use of the Excel template was inconvenient and unwieldy.   If we understood that submitting letters was an option, we would certainly have availed ourselves of that option.

So I wanted to raise the question as to whether the BoG is open to receiving written communications in a form other than the use of the Excel template.  If it is, please point me to where the BoG communicated the option of using letters to the broader community.  If it was not previously communicated, then please (a) respond to Orange and Mr. Katznelson that their letters will not be considered (they can, of course, paste the text of the letters into the Excel template provided they do so in the time remaining for the submission of comments; or (b) create a new deadline, ideally at least a week from the original deadline, that others can use to submit letters or otherwise communicate written perspectives to the BoG without the use of the Excel template.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,

Gil Ohana
